im only 18 years old and im starting college this summer, anyway what are some careers that are creative and social and don't require me to dress up. I Absolutely hate dressing up and i would die if i had to work a 9-5 every day. Im going to major in marketing/advertising maybe, but i know that im going to end up in a dress shirt with a bunch of older conservative guys/gals. I live in orlando fl btw, nyway ive considered bar-tending (hard rock corp is located here), maybe becoming a sound technician (since my city is home to alot of entertainment type stuff? (lol), i have a high imagination (which gets me in trouble), and i love being social, also im not cutting off my dreads (regardless of what my mom says) and i have lots of body art, i think i might want to do something with setting up lights/theater scenes/ sound production/ idk. I know alot of people will say that im naive or rebellious, but im honestly not. Also i don't care much about being rich or owning a house, im fine with a nice apartment, lots of food and video games, nor do i care about having a really nice car and the hell with getting married. I am going to college tho, lol i don't really have a choice, also i like marketing ( i went to Decca and competed in nyc this past month and won!!!), but i had to dress up and look "Professional". What are some careers i can pursue. Im being really serious, so please Keep "ur so naive" comments, i hear them all the time ;)

Your question has nothing to do with being naive or rebellious. There are plenty of people out there that don't fit the 9-5 suit and tie mold. Like you mentioned, Orlando is home to TONS of entertainment, shows, and opportunities. You may have to start at the bottom or with an internship but there are lots of things you can do for each that would give you some experience as well as some fun. For job experience, an internship program might be good to give you some ideas without sticking you in a specific job that you might have to quit if you hate it. There are degrees in Set Design, Theatre Production, Hospitality Management, etc that can give you a creative outlet without feeling the need to conform into a business suit mold.

Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba, in Downtown Disney West Side, features its renowned blend of acrobatics and special effects with more than 70 artists from around the globe performing in a custom-designed, 1,671-seat theater.
Cornell Fine Arts Museum, situated on the campus of Rollins College, features significant loans, recent acquisitions, and items from the Cornell's renowned permanent collection. Admission is free.
Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, an amusement park opened in 1936. This park features beautiful botanical gardens, 40 rides, 5 roller coasters and a water park. But it is most famous for it lovely southern belles and world-renown Ski Shows. Located in Winter Haven, FL.
Discovery Cove, a resort that is part of the SeaWorld Adventure Park complex. Some attraction features are tropical fish in a coral reef, snorkeling with stingrays, and interacting with birds in an aviary, as well as swimming and playing with dolphins during a half-hour session.

Visitors can catch a ride in a California Victorian-style half open/half closed trolley or the 5/8 replica of an 1880 locomotive (a Mason Bogey) with its passenger cars.
