My family just bought a new house. We were thinking of putting in a home theater, but we don't want to spend thousands of dollars on home theater chairs. Hope you guys can help.

Use normal recliners and put a small table or stool with a flat wooden top beside it (or on each side of a reclining loveseat) to hold remote(s), drinks or food. They take up a bit more space that HT seats with built in cup holders, etc. but cost less. An alternative -- if you want theater seating -- is to look for used seats from a movie theater. Personally I wouldn't want them, but they do take less room.
