Hey guys, would buying 100ft of 16 gauge speaker wiring for $19.99 at Radioshack for a $700 Onkyo ht-s6100 HTIB be a bad idea in terms of cheapness of the wiring? i measured out my room, and it's so small that i don't need anything higher than 16 gauge for my 7.1. I already bought the wiring, but I'm wondering if this was a really bad idea. Will it seriously ruin my listening experience? I don's think it's magnetically shielded either... so would that present a problem with my cell phone/ wireless network? thank you in advance
I got some even better information to possibly help you guys out. On the spool, it says: "Two-conductor - Stranded - Brown - 75 degrees Celcius" Some other things " In wall: YES" and "Type: CL2" Apparently it is "UL Listed" On the back it says "Power Limited Circuit Cable" If theres anything else you guys need to know about it, try and i might be able to to tell you, If i could keep this wire and still have a good listening experience (for a $700 HTIB) that would save me some heartache and budget.

get sheilded- try buying 100ft 16 gauge for $40-$50.
if you are wiring your system for good, then you want cables that will last- so if you decided to spend more on speakers later, you have cables that a comparable. make sense?
try a home theater store, or maybe a best buy if you have one around you..
