How's life in New Jersey?

Hi There

I am planning to move to New Jersey. I mean it in that sense.

Answer
I spent the better part of 30 years in New Jersey and I can tell you for sure that it is getting very expensive to live. People will tell you that it's cheaper then NYC which in some area's of the State are in fact cheaper, rents are cheaper but your taxes and if you own your property tax are very very high some area's as much as 10, 000.00!

There is something for everyone in New Jersey..the shore (the beach for you non natives) is about the best place in NJ from Sandy Hook down to Cape May..Which you can take a ferry from Cape May to Delaware for shopping..Then of course there is Atlantic City ( two blocks from the boardwalk in any direction your taking your life in your hands tough city)...Hoboken and the shore are the places for clubs bars and and night life...Newark and New Brunswick have the theaters for the arts, Newark also is home to the Devils (Hockey) Performing Arts Center, Iron Bound District great restaurants.... (again in Newark a few blocks in any direction taking your life in your own hands) There is Great Adventure in Jackson. State Parks for outdoor recreation and camping...Close to NYC and Philly ( yes the cheese steaks are worth the ride into Philly) Camden another tough city worse then Newark Atlantic City is home to the Battleship New Jersey and the Aquarium..Famous Jersey Corn and Tomatoes are great (seasonal of course) Baseball expansion teams and indepent leauges have staidums all over the state cheap family fun and also not a bad seat in the house ie Somerset Patriots, Atlantic City Surf, Lakewood Blue Claws, Trenton Thunder, Sussex Sky Hawks...The natives are good people and no we don't have accents you do (LOL) some have attitudes some dont, driving in NJ is an experience don't be a left lane dick and you will be fine ( dont drive slow in the left lane)..Best thing for you is to look around take a vacation to NJ come to the shore (LBI my favorite) see for yourself drive all over check it out...If I could still afford to live in NJ i think I would still be there or in Brooklyn NY!!
