I'd like to get a feel for what real audiophile-quality speakers sound like as I'm used to the crap they sell at best buy and the like. Any good ones coming up in the nj/nyc area this year or next?

Honestly, events such as the Consumer Electronics Show( CES) are primarily for people in in the industry to visit - more of a business convention than a shopping adventure. Some vendors have incredible setups in booths with limited seating - but then again they are showing off their latest ultra-high end gear that exceeds the price of a nice new car.
Larger cities still have true audio salons, or home theater/entertainment stores that specialize in audio. Some are "uppity" yet many are still down-to-earth and know their audio equipment and appreciate that there is a huge gap between purist audio and the junk sold at Best Buy or the slightly better audio sold at stores such as Fry's.
I will add that when the economy turned down hard in 2008, many of these shops closed down due to lack of sales. Others were family owned with members passing on and, again, the economy killing them off. But the rest of them should be more than willing the take the time to show you good audio, and let you spend some time. I've had that happen - the sales clerk was busy on a slow day, and I was left to listen to a $50,000 pair of speakers for as long as I wanted.

Boxers such as Mayweather, Mosly, Pacquiao, Hatton and Ortiz and so on, how much money roughly would they get per year, per fight or whatever?

Kind of a can't answer type question - The promoters usually get about 50mil if its a super large event & the boxers split that up accordingly - No set amounts
Example last nights fight Ortiz is the champ & takes home 2.5 mil - Maywether is the challenger, and took home 40 mil - They both get residuals from the PPV (69.95 per HD) which was pretty huge according to the online buzz & they sold the fight in movie theaters as well for 20.00 per seat.. the total numbers will be in about a week or two
Hatton usually makes about 6 to 8 mil per fight in his country
Arturo Gatti made about 5 or 6 mil in NJ
Mosley about 4 to 5 mil in LA
DeLahoya about 10 to 15 mil in Staples
Its like a rock concert, it depends on your draw..
