Economics will determine school facilities in the future. All schools will be required to use energy saving appliances and comply with the most advanced solar, wind and hydro electricity alternatives. Computers will be designed for more at home instruction saving on teachers and students reporting to the educational facility.
It is possible that lunch programs will be replaced with private supply trucks lining up outside the school offering box lunches. Students will be bring in their own lunches as well and using microwaves more often for heating up soups and other hot meals requiring cooking. School gyms will be outfitted with portable seating arrangements that can also become an auditorium and theater. Swimming pools will be hidden under flooring for part time use and the water will be connected to the heating system for raising heating temperature or for cooling depending on the time of year. Schools will be equipped with automatic photo ID cameras and X-ray scanners for security protection.
Parents and visitors will be required to obtain verification ID cards in advance of visitation and their photo ID will also be scanned in for speed and accuracy. Students will not be able to freely visit bathroom facilities. Instead they will be accompanied by a guard. Mostly students will have arranged bathroom times where groups are led to the bathroom together to save individual guard walks. The outside of the school will have electric fences and alarms. Without proper school ID the alarms will go off and the students will be subject to penalty.

Robots will replace some teachers for menial work like distribution and collection of information, papers, etc. to students. Robots will act as guards. Need to replace an aging big screen tv. see if this solution makes sense.?

My wife watches a lot of tv, especially now with a broken leg. I want to upgrade to a projector and 100" screen. When I built my house, I had a home theater put in, with no windows and spectator seating. The lamp life of a DLP projector is 2000 hours. My wife would burn through that in 2001 hours. I thought I could put a 32" LCD tv on the wall and install an electric drop screen for the projector. This way, she could watch Oprah on the LCD and movies on the projector. Do you see any problems with this before I go out and drop $5K on this?

Makes sense to me, although the size of the LCD TV will depend on how far she sits from it. In other words, if she is more than 10-15 ft away, and the LCD TV looks too small, she may use the projector anyway, and then you've dropped the $$ on the LCD TV for nuthin'.
IMHO, get an inexpensive plasma (Dell, HP, or Panasonic)-- maybe 43-50 inches. You can probably do this for $2-2.5K.
PS: Don't get a really good plasma (Pioneer) or you may start to hate your projector : -)
